On Saturday, Selena Gomez shared a photo of boyfriend Benny Blanco in her Instagram Stories seemingly zoning out on a white couch, wearing a yellow bodysuit, and clutching a giant white plush figure. A white feather appears to be stuck on one of his fingers. In the background, it looks as though they are on some sort of film set, with lights and screens dividing the room.

In small letters over the photo, Gomez wrote, “It was you before I ever decided.”

She also jokingly posted a shot of herself on the ice in what she called her “one and only lesson.”

The couple first went public with their relationship in December 2023, but have likely been dating since the summer of that year. Since the start of their public life together, Gomez has written loving things about Blanco on social media. She first seemed to confirm they were dating in a comment on Instagram, where she said, “He has treated me better than any human being on this planet,” adding, “He’s still better than anyone I’ve ever been with. Facts.”

In February of this year, she shared more about her boyfriend with Apple Music 1’s Zane Lowe, saying, “Without getting into too much detail, I think it’s just really important to meet someone that respects you. And I think it’s really nice to also lean on someone who understands the world that I live in. But I’d have to say overall it’s the safest that I feel, and it’s been really lovely, and I’ve only grown through it, so it’s awesome.”

And earlier this month for Blanco’s birthday, Gomez posted a bunch of photos from their time together.

In the caption she wrote, “Happy birthday baby! Your emotional endurance, positive disposition, unbelievable talent (that blows me away), undeniable humor and loving, kind heart absolutely kill me. I love you.”
